Galápagos Life Fund Shortlists 29 Proposals Under Its Second Call for Proposals

GLF, June 1, 2026

The process began with the submission of 163 proposals from organizations and stakeholders committed to the future of Galápagos.

Following an administrative review and a technical evaluation based on the criteria established in the call, 29 proposals with the highest scores were shortlisted across the Fund’s four priority areas: sustainable fisheries, marine research, environmental education and community engagement, and sustainable tourism.

These shortlisted initiatives will now move forward to the full proposal development stage, a key step before the final grant selection process.

This process reflects the GLF’s commitment to transparent, rigorous, and merit-based decision-making, supporting initiatives that contribute to long-term, sustainable solutions for Galápagos.
