GLF Releases Its 2025 Impact and Project Report

GLF, June 8, 2026

On World Oceans Day, we are pleased to share our 2025 Impact and Projects Report, a comprehensive overview of the progress achieved over the past year to advance marine conservation in Galápagos.

The report highlights key milestones from 2025, including the implementation of the first projects supported by the Galápagos Life Fund, the strengthening of monitoring and surveillance capacities in marine protected areas, the promotion of sustainable fisheries and environmental education initiatives, and continued progress in governance, sustainability, and financial management.

Beyond the results, this report reflects the power of collaboration among local communities, public institutions, civil society organizations, academia, and international partners united by a shared vision: ensuring the long-term conservation of one of the world’s most extraordinary marine ecosystems.

Today, we are making this report publicly available as a resource to better understand how conservation investments are translating into concrete actions and measurable outcomes for the protection of the Galápagos Marine Reserve and the Hermandad Marine Reserve.
