Galápagos Infinito: connecting new generations with the ocean

By Rosa León, March 27, 2026

From the Galapagos Life Fund, we support initiatives that bring new generations closer to understanding and caring for the marine environment. Through the Aulas Oceánicas program, part of the Galápagos Infinito project, during the 2025–2026 school year we reached 440 students, 26 teachers, and 20 educational institutions through a training process developed over 33 days of field experience.

Beyond the numbers, this project has allowed children in Galápagos to experience the ocean firsthand: their first encounter with the sea through snorkeling, the discovery of its biodiversity, and the strengthening of a more conscious connection with their environment.

The Galapagos Life Fund supports these initiatives as part of its commitment to education and community engagement, promoting processes that build knowledge, raise awareness, and foster a culture of conservation from an early age.
