Blue Breath: Well-being to Strengthen Marine Conservation

GLF, November 21, 2025

The Guardianas Azules took part in a special gathering focused on self-awareness and well-being, where they explored their emotions with psychologist Emilia Herrera and participated in a guided sensory experience led by Nathalia Zurita.

This space not only supports the women in the community—it also strengthens their ability to lead marine conservation. When a guardian recognizes her emotions, manages her energy, and reconnects with herself, she can act with greater clarity, empathy, and commitment in the marine territory she helps protect.

Guardianas Azules is a project by Fundación Ola Igualdad, funded by the Galápagos Life Fund, that promotes community participation in ocean conservation, beginning with the holistic well-being of those who care for it.
