We’re taking another step forward for safety and conservation in Galápagos

The Galápagos Life Fund (GLF) is financing a project led by WildAid to strengthen the marine control and surveillance system in the archipelago. The initiative aims to enhance the operational capacity of the institutions responsible for safeguarding Galápagos waters.
As part of this effort, the Ecuadorian Navy received safety equipment valued at $59,526 for the Floreana Coast Guard vessel. The donation included two 20-person life rafts and additional equipment that upgrades the vessel’s communication and safety systems during control and surveillance missions.
This contribution reinforces operations within the Hermandad Marine Reserve, helping protect our oceans — and those who protect them.
