Our Executive Director, Mónica Calvopiña, participated as a keynote speaker at the VII Galápagos Science Symposium — an academic space for dialogue and reflection organized by the Galápagos National Park Directorate.
In her talk, “Galápagos Life Fund: An Innovative Financial Sustainability Mechanism for Marine Conservation”, she emphasized how instruments like this strengthen the long-term conservation of the archipelago.
The symposium brought together guides, students, and researchers in a space that fostered science and community, featuring presentations and panels on sustainable production and fisheries, environmental education, and waste management
