Rakan Zahawi, New Director for the NGO Sector

Dr. Rakan A. “Zak” Zahawi, Executive Director of the Charles Darwin Foundation, has been elected to represent the NGO sector on the Fund’s Board.
Since March 2021, Zahawi has led the Charles Darwin Foundation, recognized for his scientific expertise, biodiversity research, and commitment to conservation in oceanic archipelagos.

Zahawi will serve a two-year term as the NGO sector’s representative on the Board.
