GLF Extends Deadline to Apply for NGO Representative on its Board

GLF, June 11, 2025

The Galápagos Life Fund (GLF) has extended the deadline to select the new representative of the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector who will join its Board of Directors. This decision responds to requests from organizations interested in participating in the process.

GLF is a non-profit corporation that promotes the maintenance, growth, and security of the natural capital of the Galápagos Islands and their marine ecosystems. Its Board of Directors is composed of 11 members, including one representative from the NGO sector—a key role that ensures active civil society participation in strategic decision-making for marine conservation.

We are currently carrying out a transparent and participatory process to select a local NGO to fill this seat on the GLF Board.

✅ A representative with legal residency that allows them to work in the Galápagos, in accordance with the Organic Law of the Special Regime for Galápagos
