Education for Sustainability in Galápagos

GLF, February 4, 2026

Through the Education for Sustainability project, Fundación Scalesia, with funding from the Galápagos Life Fund, has implemented a series of training workshops for pedagogical leaders in Galápagos, focused on the use of context-based educational resources. These materials—developed in collaboration with Fundación ECOS and coordinated with the local School District—integrate key topics such as biodiversity, sustainable tourism, and fisheries, strengthening educational planning grounded in local realities.

In parallel, the workshops encourage the continuous improvement of teaching practices through spaces for reflection, knowledge exchange, and professional development. By strengthening the role of pedagogical leaders, the project promotes relevant and sustained education over time, contributing to the formation of new generations with greater awareness of sustainability and a deeper commitment to caring for their territory.
