GLF Extends Deadline to Apply for NGO Representative on its Board

GLF, June 11, 2025

The Galápagos Life Fund (GLF) has extended the deadline to apply for the selection of a new representative from the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector to join its Board of Directors. This decision was made in response to requests from organizations interested in participating in the process.

GLF is a non-profit corporation that promotes the conservation, growth, and security of the natural capital of the Galápagos Islands and their marine ecosystems. Its Board is composed of 11 members, including one representative from the NGO sector—a key role that ensures the active participation of civil society in strategic decision-making for marine conservation.

We are currently engaged in a transparent and participatory process to select a local NGO to take on this important role on the GLF Board.
