Park rangers now better equipped to safeguard Galápagos

GLF, October 14, 2025

As part of the project “Cooperative Strengthening of the Control and Surveillance System of the Galápagos National Park Directorate (DPNG), the Ecuadorian Navy, and the Undersecretariat of Fisheries Resources to safeguard the Hermandad Marine Reserve and the Galápagos Marine Reserve,” financed by the Galápagos Life Fund and implemented by Fundación Jocotoco, we delivered protective gear and equipment to the DPNG’s marine rangers.

This support strengthens control, surveillance, and monitoring operations of fishing activities within the Galápagos Marine Reserve — essential for the sustainable management of marine resources and informed decision-making.

This donation reaffirms our shared commitment to conserving marine biodiversity and ensuring a sustainable future for the islands and their communities.
