
Project Summary:
This project seeks to transform artisanal tuna fishing in the Galápagos Marine Reserve (GMR) into a sustainable, high–value model. Through an ecosystem-based approach, it combines science, innovation, and technology to reduce pressure on overexploited coastal species while promoting sustainable fishing methods alongside electronic monitoring and traceability systems.
